Thank you. I certainly have heard that they can grow that large, but that seven inches is far more common. Nonetheless, I have no interest in pushing the envelope, so consider the balas forgotten. I also like odd numbers of fish, generally, and 7 or 9 CL sounds great to me. Having said that, would this leave my mid and top levels empty for the most part? I just think 10 GD in the mid to upper ranges of a five-foot long tank looking pretty sparse. I like the idea of angels, which I have always thought are attractive, but I though that perhaps they would find vigorous CLs and darting GDs stressful tankmates. Any thoughts?
Sorry, I should have given you more detail: The tank is a standard 100 gallon, and will have 100 pounds of natural gravel (bought in bulk from my LFS) a fair sized piece of (long-soaked) driftwood and fake plants; a glass lid, five foot long double barrelled light fixture, Aquaclear 500 side-mount filter, and 404 Fluval canister filter. Heater that is up to the job. I will be doing a fishless cycle for sure, and thought I would add the giant danios first (as being tougher), then the bristle-nose(s), then the CL and whatever else.
Again, any thoughts, tips, criticisms are welcome.
