Kuhli Loaches should be kept in groups of four or more.

They are not a schooling fish, they are simply gregarious and feel much more comfortable in the company of their own kind.
That should give you some additional opinions. If you are considering Kuhli's, you would be better off to get 3 or more than just one, if you have the space for them.
:Actually loaches online was the place I orginally heard that khulis are better off in groups. I'm currently seeking a second opinion on the subject so that I can check that reference. So far, every time I find someone who says khulis are better off in groups, they refer me to that site, as the place they heard it first. While it is quite possible the author is correct (she sounds very knowledgable and experianced), I would really like to hear about other people's experiances with khulis, so that I can be sure. I'd like to be sure my khuli is as happy as possible, but getting 3 or 4 more khulis would be a big step!
