Deke, there is not enough information in your post to give you help for your friend. Is the pond in the north? Is it frozen? Is there a hole in the ice for a gas exchange? What is the water temperature and have they tested the water quality for ammonia and nitrites? How large is the fish and the pond (length, width and depth)?

:Someone i know has a problem with their Koi carp. one of the fish lies on it's side at the bottom of the pond, and only moves a little when disturbed. if anyone has any info on what could be wrong with it, please post it here!
:thanks
