me im from the Philippines dont know about what pebbles do these pet shop sold each shop got different kind and different colors. yup im mean soaked for a week or two and rinsed it with water to drain the tiny particles.
: Canada, the LFS does not carry pebbles or gravel that carries harmful minerals and must be "simmered" (do you mean soaked??)for a week or two.

: If a person is using rock out of nature, they can do a fizz test, using vinegar...if it fizzes, you don't use it. Additionally, if a person finds rock out in nature that has streaks or lines of color it is probably a good idea not to use it as it may have mineral deposits that will leech into the water....but our LFS rocks are safe, if it says for aquarium use. If it says "reptile use" then I would not put in an aquarium.

Since there introducton they have lost their zest and spend most of the day hanging in the centre of the tank. Would it help to warm the water??
