hi there what you mean by hanging head up and head down? if thats the problem less chances of surviving it is a lot more chance of surviving if its in the botom of the tank. All you can do is transfer it in a lesser water just enough to make them straight in a basin make sure you have net to cover it and add a little table salt and put good aeration make sure its strong.

: I purchased several Koi for a future pond and kept them in a 5ft tank and they seemed to be doing ok, I came upon an 8 ft tank and decided to give them more space. Since there introducton they have lost their zest and spend most of the day hanging in the centre of the tank. Would it help to warm the water??
