: i went fishing yesterday and i caught a crayfish and i found out it was pregnant and it had babies what should i feed them and what kind of water should i put them in. the crayfish are from pritchard park in wisconsin

Ok, first of all, declorinate the water, and keep it changed, and fresh. Keep live plants, such as anacharis, for the babies to hang out on, they tend to be canniblistic. To feed them, give them a high grade fish food, like tetramin, and and frozen brine shrimp, in small amounts. please avoid over feeding them, that will cause the water to foul quite quickly, and kill the babies. I would seperate the mother from them also, she might like a baby crawfish ''snack.''
Hope this helps:)
