Harlequin Shrimp- what does it NEED...

I saw one at a pet store and said- I gotta have it. I did a little research and have a couple questions. First, I only have a MICRO reef, mirco, I mean its 6 gallons. I keep 3 blue legs in it. Its been running since new years, 6 months, and only had one misshap- ammonia skyrocketed when I added a fish. Anyway, I don't want to add another fish for fear it will happen again, and the crabs seem so happy. Now I know the shrimp will only eat stars, I can deal with that. I know it does better in pairs- can 2 fit in a 6 gallon? I have it pretty well jammed with liverock. Are these guys really sensitive about water quality? I do water changes, but even so, in suck a small tank, things can happen really fast, one wrong move and the tank is done! I am doing changes every 2 months, simply because I only have the hermits, and they can live through anything, they've been around since I started it. One more question. Should I get rid of the crabs if I get the shrimp? Blue legs are supposedly much safer then the red legs, but will there be to high a dencity of crustations in the tank and ??? maybe cause a bit of a scuffle? Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
