How in the world can you suspect TB when she hasn't even provided answers to the questions I posed to her?
Eliminate the possible first!!! TB is rare and although it may be in her tank, you need to find out first if it is parasitic in nature first. My fish had internal parasites and it presents the same symptoms as TB only certain conditions existed which posed an internal parasite. The curvature of the spine only presents itself in certain TB infections and not all.
:...but I searched and can't find any other pictures of fish tuberculosis on the net. Click on the link and then scroll down to the list of diseases and click on fish tuberculosis. See if the pics look like your guppy. Usually be the time the stomach is caving in, it is too late for antibiotics. Eventually the spine curves to the point the fish starts "twirling." It can die quickly or take weeks.
:If you do a search and read up on it, and decide it's what your guppy has, you might consider photographing yours and submitting it to Cecilia. It would be good to get more pics on her site, since the diseases look different on different fish. It might help someone else.
