i've read a tsp per 5 gallons for general health. when you do your water change just put in that amount every time. when you top up the tank for evaporation don't add any because the salt doesn't evaporate and you could increase the concentration.

they can take a lot though. 3 tsp per gallon is recomended for sick fish.

make sure its dissolved before addition as it can burn fish on contact.

:I heard that you can put a tea spoon of seasalt once a month to help prevent disease, can someone elaborate on that more. Thanks.
