My Moor ate salt :(

I put some aquarium salt in with a water change and some salt crystals that were whole seemed to attract the attention of my ever hungry moor. He scooped up a piece of salt (or two) and chewed on it, shaking his head weirdly. I am hoping the fish remains healthy, I have never seen a fish eat a big crystal of salt. My tropicals stay far away from it, thats for sure. The moor will eat ANYTHING. Obviously I will have to be sure the salt is completely disolved before adding it to my goldfish tank next time.
:(
So far he seems fine, and I tried to distract him with some flakes and pellets from eating any more salt. Anyone ever see this happen to their fish? If so, was the fish okay?
