Though it's hard to tell for sure, you might have a nymph! They used to be pretty popular, but are hard to find now. They are a cross between comets and fantails.
Did you name him yet? Definately a cutey!


:I found this feeder last weekend at a local Petsmart, swimming around in a massively overcrowded tank of freshly shipped rosy reds. He's a comet in body structure, but has a fantail. His dorsal fin is very stubby, like a flag more than a fin, and he's got a bit of a dip in the spine directly posterior. Sorry about the blurry picture, he wouldn't sit still long enough, but you can just make out the two fins in his tail. I thought he was pretty unusual, so I'd share! Enjoy!
