...if "WOW!" means you think 10 gallons is a large tank, or that you thought GF are some kind of dwarf fish. The smallest type of GF I know of get to darn near a foot long, unsuitable for a tank that small.
In fact, many of the most popular tropical fish get so large that ten gallons is too small. Common plecos, channel catfish, redtail catfish, oscars, dempseys, angelfish, and in fact most cichlids, pacu, pirahna, bala sharks, irridescent sharks, kissing gourami, tin foil barbs, arrowana, knife fish, butterfly fish, clown loaches, discus, chinese algae eaters, ropefish, wolf fish, and snakeheads, to mention just a few. I'd hazard a guess that there are more fish in the hobby that shouldn't be kept in a ten gallon tank (even singly) than should.
And many of the fish that are small enough to be kept singly in a ten gallon tank (tetras, cories, barbs, etc.) are schooling fish, and shouldn't be kept singly, and might still be inappropriate for a tank that small.
