Oh sorry, the lady who bought it at work has the little test kit to measure the ammonia, pH and nitrate levels so she told me that she just checked for all those and they were all ok according to the kit. I'm basically writing on her behalf as I post on the reptiles forums (snakes and monitors are my thing not fish).

I actually read through some posts here and saw something about laying off the food for a few days and feeding it peas to fix the floating problem. Maybe we should try that.
