How much of a difference in size? As long as the bigger ones are not more than twice the size of the others, there shouldn't be a problem.
No need for bags as long as the new tank is the same temp as the old ones. Just a hint, though you've probably already thought of it, You may want to partially fill the new tank with the old tank water. It will save you some cycleing time.

:I'm planning to move goldfish from different tanks into a larger tank with stronger filteration.The question is will they pick on the smaller ones from the other tank? One tank contained six goldfish and the other contained two smaller goldfish.At the moment the fish can see each other as the tanks are near one another and another question is will I need to float them in the bags?
