i have a small corner sponge filter along with my regular whisper 20 gallon filter and an air wand

little bits of blue media from the sponge filter float around in the water after all water changes...the goldfish must ingest some of this...i was wondering if anyone knew if it would be bad for the goldfish...???????????????????????
