I have had tanks before but never goldfish always had tropical. Started at 10 then 30 then went to 50 and now the big boy. My wife has always loved goldfish and each time i take her to get fish she always ended up in the goldfish section and i had to tell her cant put those in the tank we have tropical. This time decided to give the goldfish a try and i heard they were more simplier to take care off + My wife and I like the pretty colors they bring out. Now i have had this tank for about 6 weeks and added only 5 goldfish (Calico, 2 Bubbleeyes, Blue, Orange i think its organda) they are small nothing big because no sense in going all out right off the bat since the water might not be ammonia free. With every tank i have had I was able to acheive crystal clear water. But with this one after Six weeks the water is still cloudy and seems no where near to getting cleaner. I have always been a believer that you cant have enough power filters for each system i have had i have always doubled but i have also always used Whisper equipment.
man this is long winded.. =0)
So my question is did i go wrong using Aqua-Clear equipment?
I am using Aqua-Clear 300 rated at 300 gph and for 100 gallon tanks. I have three for one 125 gallon tank. Has anyone out there had any issues with Aqua-Clear just not doing the job.
