:He is 11 inches long. I have him in a fresh water 20 gallon long tank with the following:

:12 neon tetras
:12 scisor tails
:1 haplo catfish
:1 weather loach
:

Not to sound harsh, hopefully, but that tank seems quite overstocked. I've lost a dragonfish in the past due to poor water quality. Personally, I would either cut both schools in half, or get rid of one altogether. That is really a large bio-load for 20 Gal. And your loach does better with a friend or two. My pair of weather/dojo loaches are rarely seen apart in my 55 Gallon.

If you just can't stand to get rid of your fish (I'm that way myself), is it possible to grab a large tank? The group you have listed above sounds like a perfect match for a 55 Gallon setup. Any thing smaller, I'd whole-heartedly recommend frequent 15-20% water changes, like twice a week. Like I said, that bio-load is way high for 20Gal.
