:I have recently (Last night ) accuired a dragon goby, the lfs gave him to me because they cant get him to eat. I have tried frozen brine shrimp, blood worms, and micro-food (powder you mix inthe water for non vertibrets and fry). I have put shrip pellets inthe water for him, yet he doesnt seem to ever go down to the bottm of the tank. He seems to always be hanging on to the side of the tank. I have researched him on the internet and am finding conflicting information on the species. Some say he will eat anything smaller then him, others say they are mild mannered and dont bother other fish. I have him in a 35 gal hex tank with 2 leopard spotted puffers (very well fed to keep them from nipping other fish's fins) and a hand full of fancy tailed guppies, and one lowely placo. I am wondering if any of y'all who have this fellow in your tank could tell me what is the normal behavior of this breed, how do i know if he is eating (when i put the fry food in he seems to "gulp" water), and what do i need to make the tank a happy place for him. ALL advise is greatly appreciated.
I have to dragons in my 20 gal. tank. They eat tubifex worms and like to burrow along the sides of the tank. They don't bother anything in the tank. They won't even eat feeder guppies if you add them to the tank. I was told they would. I've heard different info on them but mine seem fine as they are. My tank is community with large goldfish, danios and rainbow sharks.
