Hi everyone,
I'm moving to a new place in a month and have started designing a tank for it. It's a hardwood, open top square, low, 3'x 3'X 10". It'll have a 802 power head set up and a custom filter intake, lighting, and aeration. *picture a cube sliced at 1/3 horizontally*.
Now, I've designed this tank, to almost be like an indoor pond. There is no glass involved, the sides will be textured with concrete and stone (cured 2-3 months). I'm in the process now of choosing fish for it, and my girlfriend suggested FWR's. I've read through most of the posts here, so I'm really wondering is if the surface area provided by this tank will suit one? There would be no tank upgrading so, if it's a no-go, it's a no-go. I can use a different bio-tope, like plant it, and use schooling tetras, or some other type. I'd apprieciate some info, and in the even that the FWR are not appropriate, any suggestions as to other types of fish you'd think would look nice in the tank.
