Well,

I brought home a P. reticulatus, planning to keep it with a couple of emperor sharks (as I'd seen in a store once). The only other thing in there was a red tail cat. Nice sand bottom, thought it would be great...

Well, turns out the emperors thought he was a treat buried in the sand. After almost taking his tail off and nosing him in the head, I said enough is enough - and bagged him back up. After quickly rotating some tanks, I managed to free up a 55 gallon for him solitary confinement.
Except, as I was moving him over, I noticed the mark I thought was a belly button - had moved.
So now the poor thing has been beaten up, held out of water, and poked and prodded (as I picked off the parasite) all in a matter of 24 hours...
He hasn't curled just yet, so I'm hoping for the best... he doesn't move around as much as I expected, but I think he's ok... any thoughts as to whether there was too much stress?
