Generally any young stingray is sold as a "teacup", so first I'd find out exactly what species you have. As far as the stinger goes, its best to stay away from it...symptoms can range from:
local pain and swelling
headache
difficulty breathing
low blood pressure
vomiting
paralysis

Not to mention that if if she stings you, she's obviously stressed.
