At this time I don't know the tricks of the worm trade, though I'd well imagine it entails keeping them cooler than I can here in any large number. I know of a few local ray keepers that have been buying large tubs of frozen worms at considerable savings when compared to the same amount of live worms, and they say the rays love 'em. Mine will eat the frozen stuff, but don't go at it with the same enthusiasm as they display when presented the live food.
Ass for the sex of my reticulatus, it's a male. Oddly enough, my largest Motoro is also a male, which was the same size as the female I keep in the tank when I purchased the pair, but has since began to out pace growth wise. But then again, he seems to be a more aggressive feeder when it comes to the live fish, which I would imagine give a pretty good boost to his rate of development.
