Do you know what species?. Looks like an Aethiomastacembelus to me (hard to tell which, but could be shiranus from Lake Malawi). Do you have a pic of the body and tail too?
What are you feeding it on? does it have any tankmates?

:I have been keeping this Leopard eel in bracckish tank because they are very tolerant to mild salinity. He is a gem. let me know what you think
