Well,I came home and saw a disaster. My poor eel out of water. Worse still - I use a towel for a backdrop (nice pattern on it). So he was getting the moisture sucked out of him by the towel too. I have no clue how long he was out for - I presume since he only comes out in the dark. Is there such a thing as brain damage for eels? He seems to be fine and he now has a mesh covering the little hole by the filter where he got out...
