Well, 2 angelfish died of an unknown disease (wasn't able to diagnose it...) They were isolated in a 30 gal with a small filter.

SO.. what do I do to make this tank as safe as possible for it's next inhabitants?

I have taken it into the shower, and rinsed quite thoroughly. In the past I have cleaned tanks in the shower with some vinegar.

The heater, thermometer, and filter: scrub well? I'll throw out the filter media. What about the siphon I used to empty the tank?

What if I set it up, full of water, and ran dilute bleach through the system for a day, followed by very thorough rinsing? peroxide? rubbing alcohol?

Thanks for any coments

Keegan

PS: all the inhabitants of the tank they were isolated from (at early signs of disease) are still ok.
