Thanks for the quick response. Just to let you know, I raised the temperature and have been doing daily water changes (which is part of my routine anyway--no algae growth and fish are happier than when I used to let it go for a week or so) as a precaution as soon as I saw it, and it appears to be helping.

Just to follow up, it has been steadily going away, becoming smaller each day. So I'm not sure if it is disease related or just a bruise, but either way, it looks like it's going away. Thanks for the response.
