thanks for the info...tried lookin but with no success...take it ez, this helps...
: Ok, after some research, they are Nandopsis tetracanthus or Cichlasoma tetracanthus. One page says up to 10", neutral ph, 72-77 f temp, and is omnivorus.
: Here is a cut and paste...it's the whole page on the cuban cichlid:
: "Cuban Cichlid
: Nandopsis tetracanthum
: General Care:
: pH: Slightly alkaline. 7.0-7.2
: Hardness: Moderately hard. 10-12 DH.
: Temperature: Cool. 22-26°C
: Size: to 30 Cm.
: Compatability: The Cuban Cichlid is a somewhat agressive fish that does best with moderately agressive cichlids. Many of the Aequidens cichlids as well as Theraps sp, Archocentrus sp. other than A. octofasciatum (Dempsy) and A. nigrofasciatum ( Convict) mkae good tankmates.:"
: My Alexrod's Atlas says ph of 7, hardness 3, temp 25c, size 25cm, aquarium 400L, eats dry packaged food, lays eggs, and is agressive.
: That was a hard one. Not too terrible many sites with info out there that are in English!! And most of the ones I can actually read, only have pics!! LOL
: Hope this helps a little,
: Zyla
