I'm familiar with the tadpole madtom you could keep some in a ten gal they grow to about 2.5inches and they live about 3-4years they are from ponds and lakes so a strong powerhead isn't a good idea something without so much force the males heads get larger and flatter and the females as with most species get fat when they have eggs in them.
