Hi!
Personaly, I wouldn't suggest tankmates. They don't get lonely, so he'll be fine by himself. Though if you really want to put him in with some other fish, I would suggest SMALL fish, half his size or smaller. Like neon tetras might work. If there too large they'll harrass him and REALLy badly beat him up.
