A photo would be a great help, if you can. Can you tell us how your betta is behaving? For example... how is he eating? Is he swimming normally? How is his color...is he pale? How exactly has he been acting? His behavior can help give us a clue as to what's wrong.
As for the medications... No, it isn't a good idea to medicate until you have an idea what you're medicating for. And mixing medications together is another bad idea. Causing your fish too much stress will weaken his immune system.
What size bowl are you keeping him in and how are you conditioning the water? What products are you using? Certain water conditioners can decrease the effectiveness of some meds. For example…those that neutralize metals like copper.
