I just purchased a betta in a big vase with a peace lilly floating on top. The roots hang down and the man I bought it from said it mainly feeds off the roots and to pour off about half the water when it starts to become cloudy and add spring water and that to drop in a little food now and then. My question is, what kind of food and how often? What is the life expectance of a betta in these conditons? Thanks for any info.
