Hi.

Set up a 30 gln. tank (fresh water) on Monday. The ph is stubbornly set at 7.6 and will not budge. From reading other posts, I am beginning to think this may not be a problem. If I acclimate the fish (adding tank water to the bag while they float) will they be okay?

Also, my husband wants a shoal of tiger barbs. I was thinking of buying six of them (they are very small--around 1/2 inch) on Saturday and putting them in to start the cycling. Does that sound okay?
