Hi,

In my opinion I think you could, I've never know an ACF to jump 7 inches, but you never know if they get scared. To be on the safe side I'd lower the water level another inch, and keep all the doors closed to the room during day and night, so that if he does escape you will be able to find him. Other people may have opinions on this subject.
