Egg development is somewhat temperature dependant...a little higher (82-3) would be a little faster. The quicker you can get the eggs to hatch and the fry to become free swimming the better...well oK, within reason. The fry are sitting ducks for bacterial and fungal attack if they sit their without moving...hence the air bubbling. Don't let the air touch the egg...you are looking for current and not for "air"...if you want to stand their 24-7 and swirl the water you would get the same effect without air. We use an antifungal (using acriflavin in our shop), one drop per gallon in with the eggs to keep the fungus down. We also use 10g, but only have it 1/2 full until the fry are free swimming. Don't feed the fry until they are swimming "in a cloud"...they will dash about as individuals prior to that, but probably won't be fully developed yet...when they swim up (usually in a corner of the tank) as a unit/cloud you can feed them for the first time. So far so good.

Good luck,
Jim
