Be careful about mixing medicines. Ask if a vet what the interactions are between the two, some can be fatal. I would treat with the antibiotic first. But you are right to be thinking about his welfare. I am beginning to suspect this is a develpmental/genetic problem with his swimbladder now, for it to have been a bacterial infection, they usually strike pretty fast. But you never know, it could just be a tough cookie, or perhaps a chronic, underlying infection which the stress of moving has allowed to take hold again.
