Hello Buddy. I don’t know about the shells on the krill. I no longer have the original packaging, but the krill I am feeding to the anemone(s) is being eaten. Perhaps the shells have been removed, I’ll have to look more closely next time.

“i just realize your feeding them the krill in frozen
cubes”
. No. The krill I am feeding them is whole krill, they are each about 1.5 inches in length, look like little skinny shrimp.

I have a 350 gallon tank with (as I said previously) “plenty of "janitor" crabs and two cleaner shrimp, plus four clowns”. As there are only two anemone and each gets one krill per week, there no fuss, no mess, no leftovers to speak of. Biologically my tank is A+, so there’s no abundance of debris or leftovers. (I have it services monthly and the chemical levels checked each time.)

My life support consists of a PowerCooler Water Chiller, an Emperor Aquatics UV Sterlizer, ETC Single Stage electronic temperature control, PowerCompact metal halide/actinic dual band lights (two setups, four lights in each, two of each type), Velocity Silent Water Pumps, an American Plumber Reverse Osmosis water filtration system (for tank water changes) and two Top Fathom
skimmers.

: Hi Jim,krill has a shell you know and Anemones don`t eat the shells. They would eat just about anything, Shrimp small fish anything thats small that they can catch, shrimp you can chop up and you can feed them as well
Brine shrimp plus, you can use a tube to direct the food to them but don`t put all the food at once small amounts at a time so that they get the most of the feedings, even silversides cut them in small pieces, put before that cut the head off first, you know i just realize your feeding them the krill in frozen cubes so that will be good to, if thats the krill and not the block frozen krill, so you can try and feed them anything just chop up the food and i didnt notice what size a tank there in and if you have a number of tangs for they would come in handy for the food that gets away from the anemones, you know in my F/O tanks i also have damsels in with the large fishes, yes they get eaten but they also help reduce any possible problems even in my dragon eel tank, i feed the dragon eels with a spear i made i also buy their food from a fresh fish market, i feed them squid, shrimp, and strips of fish. So what size is this reef tank? and what else besides the anemones you have? And i like to know your life support system and if you like i can send you a image my reef`s life support>

::Thanks for the note, Buddy. There are plenty of "janitor" crabs and two cleaner shrimp, plus four clowns, so any uneaten krill will not go to waste.

::I appreciate the tip. Some things seem obvious when you see them in writing, but I don't like to guess when it comes to the aquarium!

::: Hi, that`s great, now you have two them. Yes you can try to feed them but try little at first and if they don`t eat try the next day and so on there`s nothing else you can do except try and see if they eat for you do have fishes in there that would eat the food as well if they refuse for awhile?

::::Our bubble anemone split into two very equal parts last night -- Thursday is feeding night, and it rejected the krill at that time. Should I feed both of them today or give them time to recuperate/relax. This is our first anemone "birth".
